Onboarding commercial training
After you have received your verbal confirmation by telephone, your training contract will be sent to you by post.
Training always starts on August 1. You will spend the first three days with the other new trainees at our "Starter Days", to which you will be invited a few weeks before you start your training. The motto of the Starter Days is "Welcome and get to know each other". In addition to games and group exercises, there will also be discussions with the management, who will be happy to answer your questions. During the Starter Days, you will learn a lot about your training and your start at bonprix. Some training officers will introduce themselves to you in short videos and you will get to know the campus on a joint tour. Outside of the planned program, you will also have plenty of time to get to know other trainees and dual students, for example over lunch together in one of our canteens.
Course of the training
Your first assignment will be in the Product Management department. This will give you a good insight into our business and the stages that our goods go through before they reach our customers. After your first assignment, you will start block teaching at the vocational school. From then on, there will be alternating practical and theoretical phases.
You can book your further assignments at bonprix independently using our planning tool. You just have to make sure that you have worked in all mandatory departments by the end of your training. The mandatory assignments are based on the content of the Chamber of Commerce's training framework plan. The departments that you must have passed through as an apprentice in wholesale and foreign trade management include the import department, the HR department, Customer Care Management, Finance and Accounting, the Quality Development or Quality Assurance department and a marketing department. When you start your apprenticeship in e-commerce, you will pass through the following departments: Customer Care Management, SEO, Digital Marketing, Digital Product & Technology and Customer & User Solutions.

You will spend your first days at bonprix on our "Starter Days", to which you will be invited in writing a few weeks before you start your apprenticeship. The first day of the Starter Days is all about "Welcome and getting to know each other". In addition to some games and group exercises, there will be discussions with the management, who will be happy to answer your questions. During the Starter Days, you will learn a lot about your training and your start at bonprix. In addition to short introductory videos from some of the training officers, there will be a rally to get to know the campus. But don't worry: outside of the planned program, you will still have plenty of time to get to know other trainees and dual students - for example over lunch together in one of our canteens
Course of the training
As a system integrator, you will spend your first assignment in internal IT in first-level support. As an application developer, you will really get started in the software development area of internal IT. Once you have completed this assignment, you will start block teaching at the vocational school. In principle, your assignments at bonprix will alternate with lessons at the vocational school.
You can plan your further assignments at bonprix independently. You just have to make sure that you have worked in all mandatory departments by the end of your training. The mandatory assignments are based on the content of the Chamber of Commerce's training framework plan. As a system integrator, you will spend your entire training period in the various teams of our internal IT department. If you start your apprenticeship in the Application Development department, your mandatory assignments will include Purchasing Control/Projects and Systems, Digital Product & Technology and Development in IT Core Services.
Onboarding dual study program IT
After you have received your verbal acceptance by telephone, your cooperation agreement for the dual study program will be sent to you by post.
Your dual study program starts on August 1. You will spend your first days at bonprix with our "Starter Days", to which you will be invited a few weeks before the start of your dual study program. The first day of the Starter Days is all about "Welcome and getting to know each other". In addition to some games and group exercises, there will also be discussion rounds with our management, who will be happy to answer your questions. During the Starter Days, you will learn a lot about your dual study program and your start at bonprix. In addition to short introductory videos from some of the training officers, there will be a rally to get to know the campus. Of course, you will have plenty of time outside of the planned program to get to know other dual students and trainees - for example, over lunch together in one of our canteens.
Course of the dual study program
After you have completed your first practical assignment at bonprix, the theory phase begins in January at the Nordakademie, our partner university in Elmshorn, or the Berufliche Schule Hamburg (BHH). A first semester welcome day takes place at the beginning of October. On this day, you will get to know the university and your fellow students and lecturers and will be given a tour of the campus. You will also receive the admission requirements for preliminary courses in mathematics. You will then alternate between working at bonprix and at the Nordakademie or BHH. You can plan your assignments at bonprix independently and there are no compulsory departments.
